Two LADWP rebate programs, now featured in the GO TO-U Shop, can help eligible drivers reduce those costs. One program supports the purchase of a qualifying used electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle. The other supports the installation of home EV charging equipment.
The programs are administered by LADWP. GO TO-U makes them easier to discover in the same app drivers use to plan and manage charging.
Save on a qualifying used EV
LADWP offers a rebate of up to $1,500 toward a qualifying used electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle for applicants whose primary residence receives electricity from LADWP. You do not need to be the LADWP account holder to apply.
Customers whose service address participates in LADWP’s EZ-SAVE or Lifeline financial-assistance programs may be eligible for up to $4,000 in total rebates.
Before purchasing a vehicle, drivers should review the approved vehicle list and full program requirements. Applications must be submitted within 12 months of purchasing a qualifying vehicle.
Save on home EV charging
Eligible LADWP residential account holders may receive up to $1,750 in total rebates for a qualifying Level 2 home EV charger, its installation, and a dedicated EV Time-of-Use meter.
The rebate may include:

Up to $1,000 toward a qualifying Level 2 EV charger and installation

Up to $500 for eligible EZ-SAVE or Lifeline customers

Up to $250 toward the installation of a dedicated EV Time-of-Use meter
LADWP also offers a 2.5-cent-per-kWh EV rate discount for customers with a separately metered EV charger on a Time-of-Use rate.
